The Unchanging God
The Unchanging God
Do you have days where you can’t watch the news. When you look around you cannot understand what is going on in the world? At times it seems like people have lost their minds. So much crime. So much deceit. So much evil. I am pretty sure that my grandparents would be spinning in their graves if they could see all the things going on.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
Malachai 3:6 For I, Jehovah, change not; therefore ye, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good?
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Revelation 1:8 I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
We are told from the time we are young that God is the same. He doesn’t change. All of these verses point to a God who cannot be anything other than what he is. Perfect, loving, and unchanging. So, in a world that seems to be changing by the minute, going crazy, in fact, we are SO blessed to know that our God is always here for us and never changes. In Numbers 23 we realize that God keeps His promises. There are so many promises He makes us in the Bible and He cannot break them. He cannot change. Lord, thank you for this knowledge! Thank you that when things around us are crazy, we can always count on you! Amen!
