Never Grow Weary

Never Grow Weary

Gal 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

There was a little girl who was in the ocean when her mom saw a shark near her. She started screaming and running towards her. She grabbed the girl’s arms as the shark grabbed her leg. The mom wouldn’t give up and the large shark finally let go and went away. The girl told the doctor how her mom would not let go either. That mom fought for her daughter, like most of us would fight for our children.

Mom and Dads, we, as parents and grandparents cannot give up. We need to be on our knees praying every day for our children. If they are not where they should be, but even if they are! The enemy is plotting to pull them away from you and their faith.

2 years ago, at Helmarpalooza, I had the privilege of praying with a young girl, probably 12, who came into the tent for prayer, for her dad. As she walked up, I asked, “what can we pray for you today?” She replied, “My dad needs prayer. I am afraid he won’t go to heaven”. She was obviously concerned. This little girl had faith. She knew what it meant to go to heaven, she knew what it meant to have a relationship with Christ, and she knew that if her father died before he had that relationship, she would not see him in heaven. The first thing I did was pray a silent prayer to say the right things to this young lady. Then I prayed with her, and we both had tears in our eyes. She thanked me and I told her, remember this, do not EVER stop praying. God doesn’t always answer prayers right away, but our job is to keep praying. Keep asking God to bring our loved ones to Him. It is a prayer I prayed for 27 years before I saw the fruits of those labors, and it was worth every second of every prayer. We all have friends and family who are not yet saved. Please do not stop praying!

Lord, please help us to not grow weary and remind us that we will reap a harvest one day. Amen
